About Us

Our store is located downtown in the beautiful, historic coastal city of Southport, NC one block from the water where the Cape Fear River meets the Atlantic Ocean.
Our building has been here since at least the 1930's and was, at one point, a bank. We use the safe for storage space.
The Celtic Harp opened in 2009 on Howe Street as a music store but after numerous requests for Irish products and a little intervention from Fate, it became a combination of the two.
One year later, the store was moved by owners Connie & Steve O'Bryan to the current location on Moore Street where their daughter, Leigh Ann, was already operating a store, The Crewmen's Quarters.
As of today, the two stores share the location (hence the two signs on the storefront).
We offer a wide variety of Irish and coastal jewelry, home decor, clothing, garden decor and other fun and unique items.
We also have a variety of local products: handmade jewelry, pillows and tapestries made in NC as well as photographs by local artists. This section is ever expanding and constantly changing.
Half of our floor space is dedicated to music instruments and the talented Mr. Steve O'Bryan. We carry acoustic, electric and bass guitars, banjos, violins, and ukuleles as well as amplifiers, strings and all the other little odds and ends.
Stop by and check us out!! We'd love to see you!

Oh.......Yes, we are Irish!! :)) We get asked all the time!
